How can I edit text in a PDF online for free?
Use Just PDF Tools to edit existing text directly on a digital PDF page. The inline PDF text editor works in your browser without an account, subscription or file upload.
Use the toolEdit PDF→Edit PDF text inline
Open Edit PDF, choose Edit text and click the recognised body text. Related paragraphs are edited as one flowing text block, so added lines move the text below down. Press Enter for a new line and click outside the green box to save the current edit.
Replace or remove existing text
Change the words in a text fragment or delete them completely. The original PDF remains untouched; your changes are written into a newly downloaded PDF.
Which PDFs are supported?
The feature works with digital PDFs that contain a readable text layer. Scanned documents are images and need OCR before their text can be edited. Unusual embedded fonts and complex layouts may be approximated, so always check the download.
Private browser-based editing
Text recognition and editing happen locally in your browser. Just PDF Tools does not upload or store the contents of your PDF.
